Lost Quaker Parrot -
SWEET, loving mostly green Quaker, born: 7/7/07, who moved in with us when she(?) was almost 5 months old.
She flew away when someone was taking care of my house while I was gone on Jan 15. 2009.
We, including my dogs, miss Shanti SOOO much, she sings and dances and knows lots of words, and she was banded, w/a number I will provide if someone thinks they've seen our sweetie.

I'm in central Houston, and can also be reached @ 832-729-1197
ALSO, I am fostering another Quaker whom I agreed to take after a very kind woman heard the parrot's distinctive voice in a tree in her front yard. It was a very cold night. When she saw the parrot, the parrot walked down the branches and the trunk until he could step on her shoulder. They live relatively close, in spring branch area... This bird is doing well, looks older than Shanti, is green and grey, and doesn't step up and gets really shaky when first getting held sometimes, but then he gets into it and starts nuzzling... He's sweet and athough he's been really happy here and getting more and more of his personality back, I do not believe he was ever socialized too much, or it was a long time ago. He won't eat anything but the Kaytee diet, though he'll eat raisins from my mouth, no kisses...
Please contact if you HAVE ANY information about Shanti (reward) or Non-Shanti (he needs love!!)
Thanks,Hope
