1. Sigmund Update

Thanks to everyone who sent in suggestions to Joni's email about bringing Sigmund in to her home!

Joni, from Utah wrote in last issue, asking for help in getting this new addition to her home. Thank you for all the great responses. We have sent them on to Joni, along with our own suggestions from ParrotsNow to help Sigmund make the long journey to his new home.

There's been a little change of plans.... Because of snow storms, Joni and her brother, Paul, decided to fly Sigmund to his new home 1800 miles away. He'll be making the trip shortly before Christmas, and Paul will be bringing Sigmund with him, and spending some time while Sigmund gets adjusted.

There's more to the story, and we hope for updates about Sigmund. We will add a page to ParrotsNow, but it's not finished yet. We'll let you know.

If you didn't read the last issue, and are wondering what this is all about, you can read about Sigmund in the archived last issue of ParrotsNow News.

2. Two more Help Requests

please read...

Both of these stories are worth reading. Especially if you are anywhere near Stockton, California, and have seen an African Grey. Or near Desert Hot Springs, California, and have seen a White Fronted Amazon!

We can learn a lot from these stories, but more importantly, maybe you could help! Both stories can be seen at http://www.parrotsnow.com/lostandfound.html

3. Name That Bird Contest

Jordan sent ParrotsNow this note....

I am getting a cocktiel for my birthday in January and I was wondering if I should buy the cage in advance and set it up at home. Then when I go to get the bird on my birthday I should bring a towel and put a bird carrier (needed for transportation to the vet) and use that to get it home.

We answered Jordan there. But he then wrote...

I am also hoping for some suggestions on names.

There's our next contest! Help Jordan name his Cockatiel! And win a prize from ParrotsNow! Send your entries. And we'll let Jordan choose the name he likes most. And that'll be the winner.

Jordan does not have to choose a submitted name. After all, when seeing a bird, it is often obvious what the name will be. IF Jordan chooses a different name then we will draw a winner from all the entries. So, in this contest, everyone wins. You win by helping to name a new member of Jordan's home. His new Cockatiel wins with the "perfect" name. And Jordan wins, well, he wins just by having a new addition to the family!

Whoever sends in the name that's chosen will win a pinata toy of their choice, from ParrotsNow! (Plus, we will send a "welcome home" gift to Jordan's new bird.)

Send your "Name the Cockatiel" entry to jordansbird@parrotsnow.com .

Winner will be announced in the issue after Jordan has named his new addition. Remember, if Jordan chooses a name other than one submitted, we will still draw a winner from all entries.

For this one, send up to 5 names per person. By entering, you agree to allow ParrotsNow to publish your first name and where you're from. (So be sure to include that info.) In case of duplicate winning names, first entry submitted wins. Contest ends Dec 30, 2003.

4. Tips section

In most issues of ParrotsNow, we'll include a section of some quick tips for your parrots. Eventually, we'll add a page where you can find all of the past tips from this section.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the fun treats our Amazon enjoys
Whenever we are cooking pasta, we take a small amount (cooked about half way) out for our Amazon Bubba (our Sun Conures don't seem to enjoy this) and mix it with a frozen vegetable mix (fiesta style seems to be his favorite.)
Be sure to let the pasta cool. You can run it under cold water, and to unthaw the veggies. We just add them to the pasta and run it all under cold water. Let drain well before serving to your Parrot.
Not only should they enjoy the treat, but they also get to join you for dinner.
We have a portable stand with food dish attached to it that we keep on our dining room table so our Parrots can join us for dinner.
(Stands for sale on ParrotsNow - 4 sizes available)
Caution: This can be messy and some may be shared but they do have fun. And, it’s good for them.
5. On the Fly...
Two quick things for those of you with an internet business, or who are thinking of starting one....
# 1 - I've recently acquired the rights to an amazing piece of software - and the top of its kind besides! PopUpMaster Pro is now available, at a special price, on my JuggleNow.com site.
Without going into all the details here, I'll let you visit my other site now.... http://www.jugglenow.com/popupmasterpro.html
If you're at all interested in the best popup generator made, you owe it to yourself to take a look.
In fact, just for my subscribers, I'll add the BizAutomator software (You can see more about that at JuggleNow too) at NO cost to you. Normally it sells for $37.77. After you purchase PopUpMaster from my site, just email a copy of your receipt, and I'll send along info for you to ALSO get BizAutomator.
Oh, and PopUpMaster Pro works with Site Build It too!
# 2 - This is for those interested in a web business.... If you're not, just skip this short section :-)
I've made a deal with internet marketer, Melvin Ng. About a year ago Melvin did an interview with me about the success of my other site - jugglenow.com. And I've subscribed to his newsletter since, and he always has some good thoughts, in a very personal style.
Here's his offer, just for you.... Melvin says,
"I would like to offer to your subscribers FR-EE lifetime membership to my internet resources page, and the only catch is that they subscribe to my newsletter. Of course if they don't like it, they can unsubscribe anytime. I'm not a person who cling on to someone who doesn't welcome me." Note that this is valued at a minumum of $67.
And actually, it's an entire package of software and ebooks worth a whopping $323.69.
If you just use one or two of his offerings, you're well ahead. To see more of this exclusive offer, visit http://internetbizresources.com/jimp.htm
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Alright, apologies for those not interested in a web business, but those two offers above were just too good NOT to include.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just a note before we sign off...
Reminder - Coming soon! A "Parrot Supplies of the Month" club. Any feed back about this, let us know at
parrots@parrotsnow.com
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Note that the next issue will be out very soon. With more great offers, stories, and more. And yes, we haven't announced the winners of our last contest, but we'll do that next issue. (You're still in the running if you've entered.)

And don't forget to visit us for your Christmas gifts!

Send along Your Bird Stories and favorite Pictures. We'd be glad to include them on parrotsnow! (Note: Yes, I am behind adding some pictures that you all have already sent in. But I promise I'll get them up soon!)

Taking flight ...for now, and Happy Holidays!
